The Carnegie Foundation for Cancer Research was founded to honor the life and work of Ethlyn Sybil Carnegie and to commemorate her dedication to humanity in the field of nursing and the pursuit of excellence in healthcare services.

The Carnegie Foundation for Cancer Research is a public charity foundation and is officially registered with the Jamaican Government.

The Carnegie Foundation is a non-profit organization that primarily advocates research on cures for different types of cancer. This Foundation is affiliated with the Northern Caribbean University’s Department of Research & Grants.

Through education, research, advocacy and citizen empowerment, we are dedicated to eliminating cancer, to improving the lives of those living with cancer and to increasing public and professional awareness about the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.

“One of the greatest principles of celebration is learning to move towards our goals and desires one step at a time – often just one baby step at a time – and learning to love the doing, learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things. We can change the world.”
